Kicking off day one of his #RideMI Motorcycle Tour, U.S. Sen. Gary Peters, an avid motorcycle rider, started his ride through the Upper Peninsula in Marquette. Peters presented commemorative lapel pins to U.P. Vietnam veterans in honor of their service in the war at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette Monday morning. “Vietnam veterans served their country with integrity and valor and it is an honor to present these brave heroes with a token of recognition for their incredible sacrifices on behalf of our nation,” said Peters. Marquette is one of seven counties that Peters will be visiting during his five-day motorcycle journey.
