CORRECTION: Film showing times wrong in story

MARQUETTE — Dates for two films by Dr. Michael Loukinen were given incorrectly in a story on page 1 Friday. The first film, “Finnish American Wood Chip Carvers,” airs at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and the second “Matikka (Burbot): American Finlander Lobster,” begins at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, both on WNMU-TV.

Marquette Holiday Parade is on Thursday

MARQUETTE — The annual holiday parade and tree lighting will take place in downtown Marquette Thursday evening. This year marks the 11th year for the parade, and 46th year for the tree lighting. Both are put on by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the corner of North Third Street and Fair Avenue and will proceed down Third Street ending at the Marquette Commons building.
