Crivitz fundraiser set for Saturday

CRIVITZ, Wis. — Communities that Care of Marinette & Menominee Counties and JW Ranch will host a brat fry and pony rides fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Timberline Resort on Lake Noquebay, W6296 Circle Drive, Crivitz. They will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets and are also cooking, serving, and selling the brats at $4 each, while JW Ranch will be offering free pony rides. Right to Life presentation Thursday in Iron Mountain

Cedar River State Harbor / boating access construction project begins this week

CEDAR RIVER — An improvement project at the Cedar River State Harbor and Boating Access Site in Menominee County started Tuesday. Though the harbor and site will stay open during the work – which includes repairing and replacing the sidewalk along the seawall, replacing the fuel dock and fuel pumps, and raising the three finger piers – the Michigan Department of Natural Resources said visitors should expect some disruptions, including fuel sales.
