Tax help — Northern Michigan University’s Beta Alpha Psi student organization is once again running the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Bring tax documents and get tax returns completed for free. These students prepare basic tax returns. Diabetes support — group meeting from 5-7 p.m. at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum for parents of children living with type 1 diabetes. Mager Benefit — The Fraternal Order of Eagles 1944 and the family and friends of Jeff “Mags” Mager will be hosting a spaghetti benefit to help him with tremendous medical bills. Mager, 55, is a self-employed single father who was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma, a rate and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He must spend five days in the hospital every three weeks for continuous chemo treatment. Benefit will be at the Eagles Aerie, 309 Iron St., Negaunee.
