Jeff Mager benefit set for Sunday
NEGAUNEE — The Fraternal Order of Eagles 1944 and the family and friends of Jeff “Mags” Mager will be hosting a spaghetti benefit Sunday to help him with tremendous medical bills.
Mager, 55, is a self-employed single father who was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He must spend five days in the hospital every three weeks for continuous chemo treatment.
Sunday’s benefit will be at the Eagles Aerie, 309 Iron St., Negaunee. Spaghetti dinner — including pasta, salad and garlic bread — will be served starting at 3 p.m. Music by Country Tradition and guests will provide entertainment from 4-8 p.m. There will be raffles, silent auction, 50/50 and a bake sale.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Kids 6 and under are admitted free.
