MARQUETTE — Annual Spay Day USA 2020 has arrived.

The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is once again working with the local vet clinics to offer the service of low cost spays and neuters. To be eligible for the Spay Day USA event, you must be a resident of Marquette County and have a real financial need for help. Also this program is not intended for newly purchased puppies. The number of surgeries that will be performed at the reduced cost is limited and granted on a first come-first serve basis. Pet owners who need help will be required to sign up in person at the shelter and pay the fees before a surgery can be scheduled.
