Revolve creative event slated

MARQUETTE — The inaugural Revolve Creative Conference is set for Saturday in downtown Marquette.

The goal of this one-day creative conference is to promote the creative class in the Midwest and to support collaboration, cross-discipline works, and creative business. This collection of seminars, discussions and roundtables will focus on all aspects of creativity, including the visual arts, music, literature, technology, performance, and business.

Highlights from Revolve CC include keynote speaker Steve Albini, legendary sound engineer and music producer, and Susan Weinschenk, behavioral scientist and author of “100 Things Every Designer Needs To Know About People.”

Including the keynote speakers, there will be three sessions across the morning and afternoon with a choice of three options to attend per session.

According to a press release, Revolve CC’s Director of Development, Chad McKinney, is excited to see creative individuals from all backgrounds coming together.

“Our ultimate hope is that by bringing artists and creatives together in one place we can help spark conversations and encourage potential creative partnerships,” McKinney said.

Tickets for Revolve CC can be purchased through the conference website, revolvecc.net. Special student pricing is available.
