USMC birthday to be marked

MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Detachment 764 of the Marine Corps League will host a celebration of the Marine Corps 244st Birthday.

The celebration will be held at the Casa Calabria Restaurant in Marquette beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday with ceremony at 8 p.m.

No cover charge, cash bar, door prizes and traditional ceremonies as well as pizza and birthday cake provided for all attendees.

All Marines and FMF Corpsmen and families are invited as well as any other military veterans.
