MARQUETTE — From 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, an introductory workshop to the mind/body practice of tai chi chuan will be held at the Hope Connection Center, 927 W. Fair Ave., Marquette.

No prior experience is necessary.

This will be workshop that will integrate qi gong, and various form of tai chi including the Yang Ball Form and some basic sword movements. This is a very gentle form of exercise that promotes balance and mindfulness.

This workshop is sponsored by the Cedar Tree Institue, a nonprofit organization that provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, religion and the environment. Cost is $27 and includes a healthy brunch.
