Eversoll to be installed to ministry

MARQUETTE — The Rev. Molly Eversoll will be installed into the ministry at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette at a 4 p.m. worship service on Sunday.

Bishop Katherine Finegan will preach and preside at this rite of installation; and the service will be followed by a meal in Magnuson Hall.

Eversoll was born and raised in Clinton, Iowa, and attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She attended seminary at The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. During 2017-2018, she served as the intern at Calvary Lutheran Church in suburban Fort Worth, Texas. More recently, she has worked for The Center of Christian-Muslim Engagement for Justice and Peace in Chicago.

Messiah also recently welcomed the Rev. Andrew Plocher as its senior pastor. Plocher was installed into Messiah’s ministry last April. He attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and received an M.Div from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a D.Min. in Pastoral Counseling from Louisville Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Previously, he served parishes in Gwinn, greater Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
