Open House — The crew of Coast Guard Station Marquette, 294 N. Lakeshore Blvd., will host its first-ever open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local agencies and organizations will be on hand, and the public will have the opportunity to tour the station grounds.

Vigil — Citizens for Peace and Justice of Marquette will vigil at the Post Office in Marquette from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The focus will be on climate change in solidarity with the Climate Strike across the nation from Sept. 20-27. Anyone who wants to express concern for the environment is welcome to attend.

Veterans benefit — A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to be held from 4:30-7 p.m.will benefit the VFW Auxiliary Veteran Service Programs. The fundraiser will take place at the Negaunee VFW Post 3165, at 208 Gold St., Negaunee. The meal will include spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread and dessert.
