Youth Day — The Ishpeming-Negaunee-NICE Community Education Division is taking registrations for the annual Youth Day sponsored by the U.P. Whitetails Association of Marquette County and the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club. This Youth Day is free to all youths ages 8-16 and will take place at the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club this date, with registration starting at 8 a.m. Space is limited to the first 140 entries. Parents who cannot attend will be asked to sign a permission slip at the club. Children 8 and 9 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a hunter safety course. Out of Darkness Marquette County Community Walk — is at Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. Included in the day will be light refreshments, a bead ceremony and a take-home project.
