Tasty Reads to meet on Sept. 10

MARQUETTE –Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who like to cook, will focus on “The School of Essential Ingredients” by Erica Bauermeister at noon Sept. 10 in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room on the upper level.

Lillian started cooking as a way to connect with her mother who had withdrawn from the world and lived in the books she read. Now she runs both a restaurant and a cooking school to share her love of food. A diverse group of people enroll in her classes, each signing up for a different reason, each looking for more than how to prepare great dishes.

Share thoughts about the book and a recipe inspired by it. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
