‘The Guilty’ to be screened

MARQUETTE — Foreign Flicks, a program dedicated to contemporary films from around the world, presents the 2018 crime drama/thriller “The Guilty” at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26 in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room.

This is a BYO dinner event.

After receiving an emergency call from a kidnapped woman, alarm dispatcher Asger Holm uses the phone as his only tool to come to her aid. Soon he finds that he is becoming involved in a much bigger crime than he had expected. This Danish film directed by Gustav Moller (in Danish with English subtitles) is rated R and runs for 85 minutes.

“The Guilty” received 36 awards including Best Actor and Best Director from the International Film Festival & Awards Macao, Top Foreign Film from the National Board of Review USA, and the Audience Award from the Sundance Film Festival.
