Book crafting — The Negaunee Public Library is offering a free book crafting course at 10 a.m. Instead of sending books that have reached the end of their on-shelf lives to the recycling center or dump, turn them into art. Library staff will teach you the art of book folding and share other fun ideas for upcycling previously loved books. One in five kids in the U.P. go home from school on the weekend to no food. The Power Packs and Patriot Packs support Ishpeming, NICE, and Republic-Michigamme School districts, grades K-12.
