ISHPEMING — The Friends of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library sponsor a sale of used books on Thursday, Aug. 15, Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17.

The sale begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 in the Leverton Community Room on the lower level of the library. At that time and on Friday, Aug. 16 hardcovers will sell for $1 and paperbacks for 50 cents.

On Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. until noon, all books will be half price, while in the afternoon there will be a bag sale, with books selling for $3 a bag.

Also on sale will be the 2020 historic Ishpeming calendar, the latest FOL recipe book, and notecards and ornaments featuring local landmarks. There are 10 ornaments in all, with the Grammar School the most recent to be made available for collectors.
