Superiorland Breakfast Kiwanis — meets 7-8 a.m., Pioneer Room A of University Center at Northern Michigan University. Meetings are open to the public.

12-Step Recovery Groups — offered daily at the Alano Club, 1202 S. Front St., Marquette.

Veterans officer — Stacy King, the American Legion Tribal Veteran Service Officer, will be available to assist all veterans and families of veterans with claims preparation, presentation, counsel and appeal counsel at no cost to the veterans. Book sale — Negaunee Library will hold its large 39th Annual Pioneer Days Used Book Sale at the Negaunee Senior Center, two blocks west of the library at the Tobin Street entrance. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Negaunee Library.

Food truck — the Feeding America Food distribution is now scheduled at the North Iron Church, located along U.S. 41 next to the Ishpeming Armory. The distribution will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Home bound providers must be there at 9 a.m. This will be a drive-through event and registration must be taken while participants are in their vehicle. After receiving food, all vehicles must exit via the east side of the parking lot onto Malton Road (toward Negaunee). In case of rain, sign up will be inside the building. For persons without a vehicle (walkers and wheelchairs), there will be a truck with food boxes at the Ishpeming VFW parking lot at 9:30 a.m.

Blastoff with Storytime @ the Park — 9:30-10 a.m. Mattson Lower Harbor Park by the playground. Families with kids of all ages are invited to join for this interactive storytime full of great books, songs, parachute play and more. Cancelled if raining. No admission charge. Pioneer Princess Pageant — will be at the Negaunee High School Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the pageant starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students. In celebrating 40 years of Pioneer Days there will be 23 past princesses returning to the stage. This year, 11 contestants will be competing for the title.
