Funday Sunday benefit set
BARK RIVER — Mid-summer music of Northern Sun Winery’s annual “Funday Sunday” Benefit Concert Series brings the popular duo Genna and Jesse to the vineyard’s performance grounds this Sunday.
The internationally traveled couple features an eclectic range of musical styles from retro to soul to pop tunes. They performed at Northern Sun the past two summers to appreciative audiences.
This second concert in the summer series will benefit the Delta County United Way’s Imagination Library project.
Concertgoers can enjoy locally inspired, estate-grown wines of Northern Sun while relaxing in the scenic outdoor venue overlooking the vineyard in rolling hills of western Delta County.
Concert begins at 4 p.m. and proceeds rain or shine. Early arrivals can spread their blankets or set up chairs to enjoy the winery’s specialty wines in the tasting room or outside around the pergola. A free vineyard and wine cellar tour begins at 3 p.m. prior to the afternoon concert. Visitors are welcome to bring snacks or a picnic lunch (no alcoholic beverage carry-ins permitted).
Tickets are $10 in advance, available at Northern Sun, the Delta County United Way and the Delta County Chamber of Commerce in Escanaba. Purchased on day of concert, tickets are $15. Ticket price includes wine sampling coupons.
