Klava Klub set to meet July 17

MARQUETTE — At 6:30 p.m. July 17, the Peter White Public Library will host a meeting of its science fiction book group, Klava Klub, at The Crib, located at 401 N. Third St. Marquette.

For this meeting, the group will discuss John Scalzi’s novel, “Old Man’s War.” On his 75th birthday, John Perry joins the army. The Colonial Defense Force wants the knowledge and skill that older people can offer, with the incentive that two-year survivors earn a homestead on a habitable planet.

Is it worth the price?

Come to The Crib, grab a cuppa joe, and discuss sci-fi novels old and new. There is no admission charge to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
