‘Black Panther’ screening July 16

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites film fans to watch “Black Panther” at 6 p.m. July 16 in the Library’s Community Room on the lower level.

Bring dinner to enjoy this movie in a dinner theater setting with other movie lovers.

T’Challa, Black Panther and new king of the technologically advanced but reclusive kingdom of Wakanda, finds himself facing challengers within his kingdom for the throne. He also faces challenges from the outside, teaming up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross and members of Dora Milaje to prevent Wakanda from becoming involved in a world war. Starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o, this 2018 sci-fi action adventure is rated PG-13 and runs 134 minutes.

“Black Panther” received 90 awards along with being rated a top 10 film from the National Board of Review, USA, it earned three Oscars: Best Achievement in Production Design, Costume Design and Music written for a Motion Picture.
