Thursday

MSHS 1969 deadline — the deadline to sign up for the Marquette Senior High School Class of 1969’s 50th class reunion. The reunion is planned for July 20. The event will be held at Marquette Mountain. For complete information and registration email: rbeals2@charter.net or winslow.linda@gmail.com.

Fancy Nancy Tea Party — Negaunee Public Library and Hanna’s Tea Times will host a Fancy Nancy Tea Party at 11:30 a.m. There will be refreshments and stories for children. Attendees are encouraged to dress up and bring their favorite doll or stuffed animal. Children who RSVP in advance by calling the library at 906-475-7700 extension 18 will receive a free swag bag. Blockbuster Night — Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum will have “Blockbuster Movie Night” from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. for June’s Second Thursday Creativity Series. The Rendezvous — Caravan Church invites everyone to attend The Rendezvous at 7 p.m. in Kaufman Auditorium, Marquette. A release from the church states: “The Rendezvous is a free-to-the-public spiritual event in which we hope to encounter the God of the Bible in a real, powerful and life-altering way.” Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. It’s estimated to last until 8:30 or 9, depending on how long people stay for questions and answers. This is a family friendly event.

Ishpeming Friends of Library — The Friends of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library meet at 7 p.m. in the Leverton Community Room on the lower level of the library. All who are interested in supporting the library and its programs are encouraged to join the group.
