PaleoJoe to offer presentation

NEGAUNEE — PaleoJoe, a paleontologist and children’s author, will present “Dinosaurs … in space???” at 11:30 a.m. June 19 at the Negaunee Public Library. Learn about fossils that astronauts have taken into space, how an asteroid probably killed the dinosaurs, and more.

This event is free to the public and appropriate for all ages. It is sponsored by the Negaunee Public Library and a grant from the Community Foundation of Marquette County.

Township-wide rummage sale

MARQUETTE — The Big Bay community will host the eighth annual Township-wide Rummage Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Pick up a map at Phil’s 550 store or Cram’s General Store in Big Bay. Everything under the sun wil be featured at these sales.

Then stay for the day and enjoy live music and concessions at Draver Park from 7-9 p.m. Music by the Radio Wranglers, a 50/50 and door prizes will be available.

Above the Bridge events planned

CURTIS — Above the Bridge Music in the Round is taking place at 6:30 p.m. June 15 and June 22 at the Erickson Center for the Performing Arts in Curtis.

The award-winning Above the Bridge Songwriter’s staff including John Latini, Jamie-Sue Seal, Annie Capps, Rod Capps, Chris Buhalis, and Jim Roll perform in two special concerts at the ECA. Free, donations are always appreciated. Call the ECA office for more information 906-586-9974.

Vacation Bible school dates set

MARQUETTE — Redeemer Lutheran Church will be holding its summer vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon.

At this special summer children’s program called “ROAR” the participants will learn how “When life is wild, God is Good!”

“Roar VBS” is for children from age 4 through completed fifth grade. Pre-registration is open now through noon June 17. Walk-in registration begins at 8:30 a.m. June 24.

Everyone is welcome.

Open Mic Night to be held in Curtis

CURTIS –Erickson Center for the Arts, Curtis, will host Open Mic Night with John Latini at 6;30 p.m. June 19.

Everyone is invited to join Above the Bridge singer/songwriter John Latini for an evening with local singers and performers. Pre- registration is appreciated, but not required. Call the ECA office to register 906-586-9974.
