Nature photography presentation

NEGAUNEE — Photographer Kim Nixon Hainstock will present semi-pro tips, tricks, and hints for nature photography at 2 p.m. July 2 at the Negaunee Public Library.

She will also have prints of her photographs for sale.

Teens and adults (ages 12+) are welcome to attend this free event.

Festival of Treasures held July 3

ISHPEMING — The Festival of Treasures street fair will be on July 3 in downtown Ishpeming.

Live music, food, vendors and artists, and activities for kids will take over Main Street and adjoining side streets from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Marquette City Band schedule

MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Band has announced its July schedule:

“Happy Birthday, America.” July 4: 6:30-7 p.m. Mattson Lower Harbor Park. The band will pl ay marches and patriotic music in celebration of the Fourth of July. Free concert, donations are suggested.

“Musical Adventures.”-Children’s Concert. July 11: 7:30-8:30 p.m. Presque Isle Band Shell. All members of the public, and especially children, are invited to join us for this special Children’s Adventure Concert. After the concert, there will be a free ice-cream treat for the kids. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be at Messiah Lutheran Church. Free concert, donations are suggested.

“Brass Extravaganza.” July 25: 7:30-8:30 p.m. Presque Isle Band Shell. All members of the public are invited to hear a concert that features the band’s brass sections. This is the second to last concert of the summer. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be at Messiah Lutheran Church. Free concert, donations are suggested.

Fireworks cruise to be held July 4

MUNISING — A July 4 Fireworks Cruise in Munising is a Alger County Chamber of Commerce Fundraiser.

There are two options: Twilight Indianhead Cruise with Fireworks in the Bay, boarding at 8:45 p.m. for $35; and Fireworks on the Bay Cruise, boarding at 9:45 p.m. for $15.

City band to perform in Curtis

CURTIS — The Erickson Center for the Arts in Curtis welcomes The Marquette City Band for a special performance.

The Marquette City Band will play in the Erickson Park in Curtis at 6:30 p.m. July 6.

This event is free, donations are appreciated. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved into the ECA Performance Level.
