Acrylic pours planned in Curtis

CURTIS — Naubinway Artists present their “Acrylic Pour Exhibit” to Curtis at the Erickson Center’s Waterfront Gallery

Genevieve Cousineau, Andrea Everhart and Linda Swan met weekly in Gen’s Loft studio in an effort to survive and thrive the Naubinway winter of 2019.

The “dirty pours” are made by mixing acrylic paints in a cup with Floetrol or Elmers Glue, adding oil, water and GAC and flipping a cup or two on the canvas. They used wet paper towels, straws, heat guns, blow dryers and compressors. They used stencils, painted on the canvases and tried several pouring media.

This exhibit will be on display in the Waterfront Gallery of the Erickson Center through July 29 and is open to the public during regular business hours.
