Health care screenings — U.P. Home Health & Hospice announces its free health care screenings for the month of April throughout Marquette County. Included in the free screenings are blood pressure, pulse and glucose checks and a $5 charge to have cholesterol level checked. Salad Spree — Marquette Hope First Methodist Church will again host its Annual Spring Salad Spree from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This popular all-you-can-eat buffet is $10 and take-outs are available. The barrier-free church is located at 111 E. Ridge St. in Marquette. All proceeds from this luncheon go to support local charitable needs.

Elba Morse group — will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marquette Hope United Methodist Church, 111 E. Ridge St., at the church’s annual salad luncheon. All retired nurses are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Marquette City Band Concert — “Dramatic Inspiration” is set for 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Kaufman Auditorium. All members of the public are invited to come and be inspired at this free Marquette City Band spring concert at the beautiful Kaufman Auditorium.
