MCHD — Clinic Services available today at the Marquette County Health Department are: HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing, Family Planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening, STD, and Health Services from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. A WIC Clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

12-Step Recovery Groups — offered daily at the Alano Club, 1202 S. Front St., Marquette.

MooseWood — “Nicole’s Reptile Adventures,” a summer program series offered by volunteer Nicole Shane, will be offered at MooseWood Nature Center in Marquette at 10 a.m. Shane will share fun facts and information this month on snakes — “Ssslither on in to learn about Michigan’s scaly friends” — through photographs, hands-on learning, crafts and exploration. Recommended ages for the program are 5-13 years. Families are encouraged to attend this fun-filled program. Suggested donation: $5 for adult or $10 for family.

Ely Assessor — The Ely Township Assessor has office hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ely Township Hall.

Build a Better World Book Fair 2 — 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Having read a minimum of 20 minutes a day for at least 10 days, come pick out your second free book of the summer. Make sure to bring your reading log — you must have it to get your book. Remember to record your minutes/hours. We collectively need to reach 8,000 hours by the end of summer to earn the ice-cream library lock-in. Free.
