Sunday

12-Step Recovery Groups — offered daily at the Alano Club, 1202 S. Front St., Marquette. For a complete AA meetings list visit www.aa-marquettecounty.org.

Breakfast — is 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Negaunee Eagles Club.

Life Recovery Group — meets 9:30-10:30 a.m., Lake Superior Christian Church, Marquette.

Ninjitsu — class offered 1-2:30 p.m., Northern Lights Martial Arts Center, Marquette. Call 346-9054.

Bingo — American Legion Auxiliary Bingo at Post 349 in Little Lake is ongoing on Sundays. Early birds are at 1:30 p.m. and the regular session is at 2 p.m. The public is invited.

Library Open House — The Ishpeming Carnegie Friends of the Library will host a Holiday Open House from 2-4 p.m. A Trim-a-Tree contest, and bakery and craft sale will be part of the festivities. The Friends will also sell 2017 calendars and cookbooks, as well as a Count-Down-To-Christmas tote, ready to fill with gently used books for children. Used books for all ages and interests will be on sale for 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hard covers in the Ray Leverton Community Room, located on the lower level of the library. New to this year’s sale are two ornaments, one depicting Suicide Hill, as ski jumping commemorates 130 years of the sport, and one of Cliff’s Shaft, a landmark celebrating its 150th Anniversary. They sell for $6 each or 2/$10. The featured event will be a Silent Art Auction where many talented local artists will offer their works for sale to benefit the library. Refreshments will be served by the F.O.L.

Tea and fashion — The Negaunee Historical Society is hosting a fundraiser Tea and Fashion Show at its museum, 303 E. Main St., from 2-4 p.m. Tea sandwiches and bars, as well as several teas, will be available. The fashion show will consist of wedding dresses ranging from 1917 through 2016, modeled by the brides themselves or other local women. Everyone is encouraged to be seated by 2:30 p.m. when the fashion show will begin. Door prizes will be given out. There is no charge and no tickets are required but donations will be gratefully accepted.
