MARQUETTE — Due to the high regional temperatures currently impacting the Marquette area, the Baraga Gym located in city hall closed at 10 a.m. today.

The safety and well-being of city community, staff and visitors are the city’s top priority, a press release stated. The intense indoor heat creates an unsafe environment and we have made the proactive decision to close the facility.

The city did not make an announcement about Tuesday.
