Estler named as VP of statewide association

MARQUETTE — Travel Marquette announced the appointment of its CEO Susan Estler to the role of Vice President of the Michigan Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus for a one year term.
This is Estler’s third year serving as a board member for the organization and her first as Vice President.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to help lead the Michigan Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus this year in my role as vice president,” Estler said. “Through my ongoing work at Travel Marquette and this exciting position at MACVB, I hope to continue to support travel to the great state of Michigan and do my part to promote our beloved region of in Marquette County.”
According to the announcement, MACVB is comprised of 50 members of convention and visitor bureaus (CVB) located throughout the state of Michigan.
MACVB is an organization of CVB CEOs and staff, its mission is to serve as the advocate for the travel industry and provide leadership to its members through education and communication.
This year’s board members include: President Trevor Kach (Traverse City), Secretary Bob Lukens (Muskegon), Treasurer Julie Pingston (Lansing) and Directors Brad Barnett (Keeweenaw), Janet Korn (Grand Rapids) and Annette Rummel (Great Lakes Bay Area).
