Kingsford to acquire used plow truck

KINGSFORD — The city plans to buy a used plow truck from Crandon, Wis., for $134,810.

Jeff DeMuri, public works director, made the request to acquire the 2016 Westen Star 2/4 dump/plow. He said the truck is in excellent condition and has 40,000 miles on it.

Last year the city purchased a similar truck for about $159,000 and another city truck for $80,000, both under the amount allocated in its Capitol Improvement Fund. Savings of $180,000 left funds available for another purchase.
