MARQUETTE – Brogan & Yonkers, P.C. understands that these are challenging times for all of us, and continues to adapt their services to provide comprehensive care and services across the Upper Peninsula. As an estate planning and elder law firm, the team at Brogan & Yonkers works quickly to respond to growing concerns.

“During these unprecedented times, we need to get creative,” said attorney Scott Brogan. This includes creating safer alternatives to in-person meetings. “John [Yonkers] and I meet with clients by telephone conference, video, and even home visits when necessary,” Brogan continued.

Despite the challenges the coronavirus has caused, Brogan & Yonkers are still able to effectively create estate plans for new and existing clients.

“We have heard from many individuals who are increasingly concerned with ensuring that they have proper planning documents in place, especially powers of attorney, in case they get sick,” Brogan said. Planning ahead and making sure your documents are up to date can help provide peace of mind during these stressful times.

Continuing community outreach and educational programs are also important for Brogan & Yonkers. “We’ve had to slightly modify how we deliver on these services,” Brogan said. “Our seminars are all virtual with live video stream and telephone options, and the ability for participants to view these online seminars later through our website or Facebook page.”

“We repeatedly hear from our existing clients how much they appreciate the legal updates we provide them with our email newsletters, mailings, and seminars.” Brogan and Yonkers also provide free monthly webinars on relevant estate planning topics. “We want to make sure our clients and community are aware of their options when it comes to protecting their assets and caring for their loved ones,” attorney John Yonkers added.

“Making sure your estate plan is up-to-date is always important,” Brogan concluded, “but it is of utmost importance during this pandemic.” Brogan & Yonkers are accepting new clients, and can be reached by phone at (906) 228-6212. Their home offices are located at 148 W. Hewitt Ave. in Marquette, and 119 W. Superior St. in downtown Munising.
