K.I. SAWYER — The Tower Vacation Homes may be the best-kept secret in Marquette County.

The Tower Vacation Homes are a quality housing option located on K.I. Sawyer, part of MACASU Inc.’s rental business there. MACASU Inc. has been in the housing rental business at K.I. Sawyer for the past 23 years.

MACASU currently has 211 housing units which consists of one-bedroom efficiency apartments, three-, four- and five-bedroom townhouses and single-family homes.

In addition to those units MACASU also has 15 fully furnished Tower Vacation Homes.

“After being in operations for 23 years I am surprised when people say they have never heard about our Tower Vacation Homes,” said Scott Bammert, MACASU Inc.’s Corporate Manager.

The 15 Tower Vacation Homes are fully furnished two- and three- bedroom townhomes that can be rented by the day, week or month. Each unit has a full size kitchen with pots, pans, silverware and all the dishes that you need.

On the main level is the full-size kitchen and living/dining room. There is a washer and dryer in the basement.

All three bedrooms and full bathroom are upstairs. All linens are provided and you have housekeeping service once a week. The daily rate is $75, the weekly rate is $395 and the monthly rate is $995.

This price includes all utilities and wireless internet. The three-bedroom units can sleep up to eight people.

The quality of Tower Vacation Homes is evidenced in the return business they receive.

“We have a great core group of guests that stay with us each year. In October we have a group of bird hunters from West Virginia. In November we have deer hunters from lower Michigan and Wisconsin. During the winter we have numerous snowmobilers and skiers. Throughout the summer we have many families staying with us while they enjoy their vacation in Marquette County.

“Snowbirds love our Tower Vacation Homes as their home away from home. They stay with us in the summer and head south when the weather gets cold.”

Those who are working temporarily in the area have found Tower Vacation Homes a great place to stay.

“When the new hospital was being built, we had a number of construction workers staying with us,” Bammert said. “Last year we were completely full with workers on the Semco pipeline project. With our three-bedroom Tower Vacation Homes, the pipeline workers had three people per unit. They had their own bedroom and with the monthly rate of $995, it broke down to each person paying only $11 per night. There was also plenty of room for their wives and children when they came up to visit them.”

Have family coming in from out of town? Need a place to stay while your home is being renovated? The Tower Vacation Homes are a fantastic option for you!
