Join us for Winter Wonderland

Corinna Peterson, GINCC

Picture this. You’re home with the kids on a snowy Saturday afternoon. They’re antsy from being cooped up and need to let out some energy. You’re tired too but still want to get a workout in, cook dinner, and spend some quality time with family. You remember seeing a flyer waiting in line at the bank, or did you hear it on the radio? Maybe TV? Something about a Winter Wonderland?

Maybe you don’t have a family or kids, but it’s still a snowy Saturday and you’re still bored. No matter what your situation is, this event is the place to be on Saturday, Feb. 22.

If you’re new to the area or maybe just not familiar with West End Winter Wonderland–it’s a family-friendly event that caters to all ages. Support your community, local businesses, and maybe even burn some calories while snowshoeing, skiing, or biking along the Wawonowin’s expertly groomed path.

As you travel down the path, make sure to stop by each booth for an activity or treat. Some will have pizza, some will have games, and some might even have MARGARITAS! Don’t have snowshoes, a bike, or cross-country skis? Don’t worry! Wilderness Sports will be on hand with free snowshoes for use during the event. Snowshoes will be given on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure to come early to take advantage of this event perk.

Are you interested? Register today by visiting Eventbrite.com and searching “West End Winter Wonderland.” Registration includes entrance into the event, food at the stations, drink tickets, and a commemorative gift. You will also have the chance to enter our 50/50 raffle and win a grand prize gift basket from Travel Marquette.

Registration for adults is $20 online or $25 at the door, $10 for students or seniors (65+), and $5 for children 12 and under. West End Winter Wonderland is from 4-8 pm, but doors open at 3:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring a headlight or flashlight to illuminate your way as you make your way down the path.
