Brogan & Yonkers open new law office in Munising

The Law Firm of Brogan & Yonkers is undergoing some exciting changes. In addition to expanding their services and offering more community events, Brogan & Yonkers have recently opened a new office location in downtown Munising.

Brogan & Yonkers are estate planning and elder law attorneys who work with clients all around the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin. There were several reasons this firm — which offers estate planning for everyone — decided to open a second office in Munising.

“Munising is an up-and-coming community. It’s a vibrant town,” attorney Scott Brogan said. “This new office helps us to better serve our existing clients in Alger, Luce and Schoolcraft counties. It allows us to broaden our established base.”

The new office, located at 119 W. Superior St. in downtown Munising, is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both attorneys Scott Brogan and John Yonkers will continue to hold office hours in Marquette as well as travel to their other satellite locations throughout the U.P.

Attorney hours are by appointment, and both offices will be available for those who want to work on estate planning and elder law with these experienced attorneys.

“Planning for your future, making potential long-term decisions, is something you’re never too young to consider,” Brogan said. “All ages can benefit from estate planning.”

Regardless of age, estate planning can offer a peace of mind for you and your family.

“When you’re just starting out in life, you may want to have a simple will and establish powers of attorney. As you age and your family grows and your assets increase, your plans may change,” Brogan said. “There are ways to structure plans to prepare for the future, which is so important.”

“Estate planning is the best gift you can give your family,” added Yonkers. “It lays out your personal and financial wishes to help your family during difficult times.”

Brogan & Yonkers knows that there is a lot of confusing information out there about wills, trusts, and estate planning. To help keep U.P. residents and their families informed, they continue to expand their free estate planning seminars and online webinars.

“The seminar experience offers attendees an intimate educational look at everything from the basics of estate planning all the way up to complex long term care benefit applications,” said Yonkers. “The setting is laid back yet informative, with each attendee receiving a free 30-minute consultation following the seminar.”

The public is encouraged to RSVP by calling their office to attend one of their seminars.

A full schedule of their upcoming events can be found on their website at www.upelderlaw.com. Brogan & Yonkers also host live webinars each month on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/broganyonkers.

Scott Brogan is a native of Marquette and a graduate of Marquette Senior High School. After graduating from Northern Michigan University, he earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. For the past 21 years, he has been practicing law in the Upper Peninsula.

John Yonkers earned his undergraduate degree in Public Administration at Ferris State University and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has been practicing estate planning and elder law in the Upper Peninsula for nearly five years.
