New CEO at Newberry hospital

NEWBERRY — The Helen Newberry Joy Hospital Board of Directors recently selected Hunter Nostrant as its new chief executive officer.

Nostrant had served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer at the hospital since 2015, according to a press release.

“I am excited for the opportunity and grateful for the trust the board of directors has extended to me in furthering the success achieved by the hard work of (the hospital’s) staff,” Nostrant said in the release. “My wife, Whitley, and our children look forward to being more involved in the community.”

Nostrant will begin his new role on Sept. 30, taking the place of Scott Pillion, who was recently named vice president of finance and controller for the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, which is headquartered in Okemos.

“Mr. Nostrant has done an exceptional job as COO and CFO,” said board Chairman Nathan Neeb. “We are confident that the entire community will benefit from having him at the helm of our hospital.”

Starting at $3.23/week.
