Michelle Trawick and Young Living Essential Oils: On a mission to share oils with the world

Michelle Trawick is sharing Young Living Essential Oils information with the public at a special seminar at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at Thrivent Financial Services at 702 Chippewa Square in Marquette.

Michelle Trawick was doing a favor for a family member. Little did she know she was becoming involved in something that would life-changing for her and many other people: Young Living Essential Oils.

“I began Young Living as a favor to my sister-in-law, Leah Karki,” Michelle said. “She decided to start sharing oils and I bought a starter kit to help support her and as something to try to help my mom with multiple sclerosis and my son with type 1 diabetes. I had no intention of sharing them myself. As a matter of fact, I was strongly opposed to the idea.

“However, the more success I had using them on myself and my family, the more eager I was to share them with everyone else. I soon became obsessed with learning more and more about how they worked and before I knew it, I had a group of passionate oil users on my team and we were on a mission to share them with the world.”

Michelle explained, “Essential oils can help support all twelve systems of the body depending on which ones you use. Digestion, endocrine, lymphatic, respiratory, cardiovascular, you name it, they can all benefit by using EOs.”

What was at first an interest has become a successful business for Michelle, something she did not anticipate.

“Did I expect the YL business to explode like it has? Absolutely not! My original thought, when Leah suggested I enter the business side, was it would be something like selling Mary Kay, which I had done in the past and although I was successful enough to earn free cars,” Michelle said. “I always felt like I was on duty, that I could never just be me. I always had to think of people as prospects and that was not comfortable for me. With oils, I am truly just thinking about ways they can help someone, how they can change something they have struggled or suffered with for a long time and improve their lives.

“I have given away countless oils and samples for people to try. They decide if they want to try more and everyone purchases their own oils from YL. I just share their benefits and help them learn what can help them most. It’s like being part of a wellness support team. My goal is to help every single person I know to reach optimal health and wellness. The oils can give people hope, see promise where there was nothing helping before and bring about other changes because of them.”

Michelle’s Young Living family has blossomed in a big way.

“We have grown to a group of 1,500 members with 3 Gold leaders and 5 Silver, 11 free trips to YL farms and so many more incredible leaders on the way. That’s an incredible testimony to the power of their efficacy.”

Michelle is sharing Young Living Essential Oils information with the public at a special seminar at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at Thrivent Financial Services at 702 Chippewa Square in Marquette.

“At least once a month, there will be a presentation at Thrivent Financial of Marquette on a variety of subjects,” Michelle explained. “This month’s will be about reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. Weight gain and the inability to shed it can involve so many different systems and triggering the body’s natural responses to wellness can be just what it needs. Check my website (yldist.com/mtrawick29) to find out more about future presentations.

“This is also an opportunity to schedule a one-on-one follow-up to discuss more personal concerns or a focused learning class with a group, organization or even friends. Also, my team and I teach classes throughout the county on a regular basis,” Michelle said. “Itovi scans are also something that I offer (no charge to my members).”

Michelle also will be taking part in the Women’s Holistic Wellness Day and Everyday Woman Fashion Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at the U.P. Masonic Center in Marquette. It will be a day of fun and education for women. Visit www.facebook.com/events/1853255551626571/?ti=icl for all the details, including ticket purchase. Proceeds go to the Ending Hunger Alliance of Marquette.

Michelle believes in the Young Living Essential Oils and what they can do for people’s health and well-being.

“The most important thing (about essential oils) is that you must use a pure product, one that leaves zero room for doubt about its safety,” Michelle said. “Essential oils are largely unregulated and in many ways, it is up to the company to choose its own standards. A label can read 100 percent pure essential oil on the bottle, yet that can be misleading. There can be fillers and different grades of quality, from therapeutic to synthetic. I teach more about this at my classes. “Young Living is the only company with a seed-to-seal process, which preserves the integrity and potency of the oils through every step of the production process,” she explained. “YL even chooses to use a third-party testing laboratory to confirm that each batch of oil is within our therapeutic grade parameters before we send them out. A very costly endeavor. This is just one of the many reason Young Living is the world leader in essential oils and wellness solutions.”
