Marquette DDA: parking in downtown

Visitors

Metered and on-street visitor parking

Downtown Marquette’s modern parking meters feature smart technology, offering visitors convenient payment options including coins, credit and debit cards and flexible stay times ranging from one to three to ten-hour parking limits depending on location.

Parking time limits, rates and enforcement hours are easily identified on each meter’s digital display screen. The parking rate is 50 cents per hour; however, users may insert quarters, dimes or nickels for shorter stays. In addition to paying via coin or card, payment can also be made via the Passport Parking App. The app allows visitors an easy way to pay for, manage and get reminders about parking all from the convenience of a smart phone.

On-street parking meters are located on the 100 block of East Washington Street, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of West Washington Street, the 100 block of East Main Street, the 100 block of West Spring Street, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of West Baraga Avenue, South Third Street and the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Front Street.

Pay Stations

Downtown Marquette has a pay station parking system in the lower level of the Bluff Street Ramp and in the North Main Street Lot. Upon parking, users are required to enter their license plate number into the pay station and make the appropriate payment for their desired stay-time following the simple instructions on the display panel.

Parking rates are 50 cents per hour, with cash, credit card, and Passport Parking App payment accepted. Quarters, dimes and nickels will purchase shorter stays.

Daily permit

If you are spending the day in town and don’t want to feed a meter, from October 19th 2020 you can purchase a daily permit for $5 via our parking website and used it in any of the lots marked with a R for permit on the map. Daily permits are valid between 9am and 6pm.
