MARQUETTE — Community members will soon have the chance to see for themselves the much anticipated spectacular One Marquette Place apartments!

June 13 is the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the community and all are welcome to stop by 401 South Lakeshore Boulevard for this special event.

The Ribbon Cutting will be at 4:30 p.m. with Grand Opening tours, snacks and beverages planned from 5-7 p.m.

The community — which has 68 studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units on floors one through five — is jam-packed with amazing features.

For instance, the sixth floor includes a community room and there is a rooftop deck that offers 360-degree views of beautiful Marquette and its magnificent lakeshore. It also includes a barbecue grill and fire pit. Plus the first floor has a lounge and patio.

One Marquette Place residents will find included in their rent: heat, air conditioning, water, trash/sewer and high speed internet service. Each apartment resident includes an assigned parking space in the secure, temperature-controled garage.

Each apartment has its own washer and dryer and each unit has a beautifully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and quartz countertops. The ceilings are 10 foot and all apartments have large closets.

Plus, One Marquette Place is pet friendly for dogs, cats and some other types of animals.

Within walking distance of 30-plus restaurants, bars and shops, the community also has installed bike racks for residents who want to take advantage of the easy access to Marquette’s fantastic bike trail.

Access to an on-site gym is included for residents.

Brittany Blackburn, community manager

“These buildings are super green,” said Brittany Blackburn, One Marquette Place Community Manager. “From the zero V.O.C. paints to the Energy Star appliances to the LED lights, it’s all very green.”

The apartment community, which includes an elevator, is move-in ready. There is a professional on-site management team and 24/7 emergency maintenance.

Residents can rent the community room for special occasions like birthday parties or bridal showers. And there’s a shuffle-board set up right in the building.

One of the most popular features, no doubt, will be that every single unit has a view of Lake Superior via oversized windows and private balconies.

“That’s the way the building was designed,” Blackburn said. “Every unit will have a lake view.”

One Marquette Place is intended to reflect the history of Marquette’s Lower Harbor, a true jewel in the Upper Peninsula.

Anyone interested in more information about One Marquette Place can contact Blackburn at 906-232-0997.

The community has a website as well at www.onemarquetteplace.com for those wanting to learn more.
