Consider attending or hosting a Business After Hours event

Gabi Kautz

One of our main goals at the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce is to bring together people of the community. Local business owners and community members alike are encouraged to attend, because we want to guide you to make meaningful connections. Creating personal and professional connections within your own community is important for both you and your business. An easy way to do this is to attend a GINCC Business After Hours event!

This Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., there will be a Business After Hours co-hosted by Wells Fargo (Ishpeming branch) and Magnuson Hotel. It will be held in the lobby of the Magnuson, located at 850 U.S. 41 in Ishpeming. Refreshments by Cognition Brewing Company and Mama Mia’s Italian Restaurant will be provided. A little after 6 p.m. there will be a drawing for door prizes, so be sure to bring your business cards to enter!

Next Wednesday, April 25, from 5-7 p.m., will be our second Business After Hours of the month. This time with WLUC TV6! More details to come, so follow our Facebook page for updates at www.facebook.com/gincc.

We try to put on two Business After Hours events every month. If your business is a member of GINCC and would like to host one, let us know! These events are free to attend, and the only expense to hosting is the cost of refreshments and prizes. Hosting a Business After Hours is also a chance to showcase your business and meet potential customers.

If you’re interested in hosting one and would like more details as to how they work, you can either attend these upcoming events or contact me at ginccmarketing@gmail.com! We can work out a date and plan the event to your liking. If you’ve never attended a Business After Hours and are not sure what to expect, don’t worry — you’re not alone! To put it simply, it’s a time dedicated to getting to personally know the people in your community in a casual setting. You never know what will come from attending a Business After Hours… you may just walk out with a new friend, new knowledge or new memories!
