Mike was diagnosed with a rare GIST Cancer in April 2014. Surgery and chemo initially addressed the cancer problem, but in September of 2016, the cancer returned. This second occurrence required new and different approaches. Mike is now undergoing promising alternative therapies for a cancer-free life, the release said.

Joshua Davis’ show is set for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the W.C. Peterson Auditorium (319 E Division St, Ishpeming High School). The show will be a benefit concert for Mike featuring the Joshua Davis Trio — May Erlewine and Marquette native Milo Birch.

Dr. Scott Doughty M.D. with U.P. Holistic Medicine, will be the Master of Ceremonies.

Advance tickets for the show are available for purchase at the Marquette Food Co-op, located at 502 W. Washington St. Costs are $20 adult, $10 for children 12 and younger. Tickets purchased at the door are $25 adult and $15 for children 12 and younger.
