SANDS — Greg McAuliffe was the winner of the Marquette Area Pickleball Tournament held recently at the Sands Township outdoor courts. McAuliffe was low scorer in the event’s round-robin format, using control over his volleys and overheads, according to tournament coordinator Joe Downs. Jody Bailey was runner-up, Frank Bailey third place, Pat Blewett fourth and Bob Anderson fifth. This mixed-gender event was held in a doubles format, but with a frequent change of partners.
