Negaunee piling up boys tennis wins, this one 8-0 over Pats

ISHPEMING — The Negaunee High School boys tennis team keeps rolling after a first-week scare last week when the Miners played Kingsford to a 4-4 tie at the Flivvers’ court. Otherwise, this Negaunee team has been just about perfect, like they were in an 8-0 shutout of Westwood at the Patriots’ courts on Thursday afternoon. Miners, Sentinels sweep tennis twinbills

NEGAUNEE — Negaunee and Marquette each swept a doubleheader of high school boys tennis meets without losing a single match in any of them on Wednesday. The Miners remained at home to defeat both Ishpeming and Munising 8-0, while the Sentinels hit the road, venturing into Delta County to take on next-door neighbors Gladstone and Escanaba and also coming away with a pair of 8-0 whitewashes.
