Washington St. Marquette. No one was injured and damage was confined to the tractor. Six firefighters in two fire engines and a department pickup truck responded to the fire at 25 minutes before midnight. Once of the games, Marquette-opoly, is a fundraiser for Whitman Elementary School’s playground improvements. The game, which costs $19, tax included, is based on city locations and has a picture of a lighthouse on it. 30 years ago MARQUETTE — The first of a series of covered walkways on Northern Michigan University’s campus is taking shape between the first floor of Gries Hall and the Bottum University Center. Unlike other covered walkways planned and proposed for the campus, this $600,000, 260-foot walkway is elevated on cement pylons. Its completion is expected in February.
