MARQUETTE -- Marquette County voters turned out in good numbers Tuesday for the state-wide partisan primary.
The following are the unofficial winners as tallied by the Marquette County Clerk's Office.
In Marquette County Commission District 1, for the Democrats, Cody Mayer defeated incumbent Carl Numinen. In Marquette County Commission District 3, Jenna Smith was the winner, topping Randy Ritari and incumbent Fred Benzie.
Voters approved the Marquette County Transit Authority millage, OK'd a request for a veteran's services millage and approved the county medical services millage request.
In a non-partisan judicial race, Patrick Crowley and Derek Swajanen will meet on the November ballot for judgeship of the 96th District Court.
Humboldt Township voters approved emergency services, fire protection, general operating and sanitation millage requests. In Forsyth Township, the electorate OK'd general operating, library services and police services millages.
In state races, in the 109th state representative district, Democrat Anna Aho Rink and incumbent Republican Karl Bohnak each ran unopposed and will meet in November to decide the seat. In the 110th state representative district, Democrat Brian Irizarry and incumbent Republican Greg Markanen also ran unopposed and will square off in November.
In the 38th state senate race, Kelli Van Genhoven, a Democrat, was the winner while David Prestin defeated challenger Beau LaFave on the Republican side.
Jocelyn Benson defeated Christopher Swanson in the governor's primary for the Democrats. For the Republicans, John James was the winner.
In one of two a federal races on Tuesday's ballot, in the first congressional district, Democrat Callie Barr was the winner while Jack Bergman, the incumbent Republican, also won. Both faced challengers Tuesday.
For the U.S. senate seat at issue Tuesday, Democrat Abdul El-Sayd defeated Haley Stevens by a thin margin while Republican Mike Rogers ran unopposed.
