Marquette residents Keitha Callanan of the Onagomingkway chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and Paul Callanan of the Straits Society, Michigan Society Sons of the American Revolution, traveled to Michigan Tech University to present awards to two individuals. Cadet Jacob Ojala, a senior in the U.S. Air Force ROTC program, receives the Gold Outstanding Senior Cadet medal and certificate from Mrs. Callanan. Not pictured, Mr. Callanan presents the SAR Silver ROTC medal and certificate for a third-year cadet to Benjamin Grady. Both cadets are in the upper 25% of their classes in military and academic subjects, have demonstrated loyalty and patriotism and earned a record of military and scholastic achievement during their participation in an ROTC program.
