Berg program manager of LBFE

Danielle Berg
MARQUETTE — Danielle Berg has been named as the new program manager of the Little Brothers —
Friends of the Elderly’s Marquette branch office, succeeding Leslie Bek. She moves up from her role working alongside Bek for more than two years as program coordinator.
“l am grateful for the opportunity to help carry this work forward. The programs that we offer to older adults in the U.P are vitally important,” says Berg.
Little Brothers — Friends of the Elderly began serving isolated, older neighbors in Houghton and
Keweenaw counties in 1982, and established the Marquette County branch in 2014. The LBFE mission is
carried out through friendship visits, social activities, transportation to medical appointments and
holiday dinners. According to Berg, “We have over 60 active volunteers in Marquette County who bring
our programs and services to life. When volunteering with LBFE in any role, you get back as much as you
give.”
Executive Director Carol Korpela states, “Our commitment to older adults through friendship and service will continue to flourish in Marquette under Danielle’s leadership.”
LBFE Marquette Branch is located at 131 W. Washington St., Suite C, in downtown Marquette. Consider referring an individual or volunteering with LBFE. Contact Danielle Berg at 906-273-2575 or email danielle.berg@littlebrothers.org.
