MARQUETTE — No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle crash on Sunday after the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a crash at the roundabout on U.S. 41 and County Road HQ in Marquette Township.

A 28-year-old Negaunee man was driving westbound on U.S. 41. According to a news release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, “the vehicle appeared to have gone over the island of the roundabout and came to rest with heavy damage.”

There were no passengers in the vehicle and the driver was not injured. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Marquette Township Fire and EMS and Marquette Detailing. This crash remains under investigation.
