ISHPEMING — Area veterans are organizing the placing of flags on the fallen veterans’ graves starting at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Organizers state: “Placing the flags is a special time to reflect and pay homage to our departed brothers and sisters.”

Any one or any organization that would like to volunteer to place flags are encouraged to attend. The cemetery will be divided into sections and bundles of flags will be available for each section.
