ESCANABA — Bay College is continuing its partnership with Finlandia University by entering teach-out agreements for seamless admission, transfer of credit and completion options.

Bay College President Dr. Laura Coleman said in a news release that the school is “saddened” over Finlandia’s announcement on March 2 to close after “a long history of education” in the Upper Peninsula.

“Bay is here to support each student with this transition,” Coleman said. “Students apply for free at Bay College and attain the support needed to complete their desired college credential. This includes but is not limited to nursing, business, criminal justice, science and liberal arts programs.”

Details can be found at Finlandia’s teach-out resource page at www.finlandia.edu/about/teachout/, while the link to Bay College resources for Finlandia students is www.baycollege.edu/finlandia.

Bay College encourages Finlandia students to meet with a transfer coach to understand how Bay can help them complete their current degree path, cost-effectively enroll in a new degree pathway or attain affordable transfer credits online or on campus.

Summer courses start in May and fall courses start in August.

Students interested are urged to also apply online for priority consideration for fall scholarships by March 30. Bay College indicated that scholarships help bridge the financial gap to higher education and are made possible by generous donors.

Starting at $3.23/week.
