Lakeview skating announced

MARQUETTE — Public skating in the city of Marquette has begun. Lakeview Arena’s public skating hours are:

≤ Drop-in figure skating, 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday through Friday;

≤ Preschool/parent and senior citizens, 10 to 11:20 a.m. Monday through Friday;

≤ Drop-in hockey, 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Monday through Friday;

≤ Public skate (all ages), 1 to 2:50 p.m. Monday through Sunday;

≤ Senior/adult skate (age 55 and older), 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday beginning Oct. 14, free to Marquette city senior residents with identification;

≤ Adult drop-in hockey (age 18 older), 9:30 to 11 p.m. Monday; and

≤ Drop-in curling, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sundays beginning Oct. 1.

The public skating schedule can be affected by tournaments and holidays. There will be no public skating on Saturday for the Stick it to Cancer hockey tournament.
